Free water test, at your home, no obligation

A technician comes to your home, tests your water on site and explains every result in plain language. It takes about thirty minutes, it is free, and you sign nothing. By the end you know what is in your water — whether you decide to install anything or not.

How it works

  1. 1

    You pick a time

By email or phone. We call you back within one business day to set a time that suits you, on a weekday.

  2. 2

We test at your own tap

The analysis happens at your home, on the water you actually drink — not on a sample that had time to change on the way to a lab.

  3. 3

    We explain the numbers

Each value is compared to published benchmarks, and we tell you what it means concretely for your plumbing, your water's taste and your health.

  4. 4

    You decide, or you don't

If there is nothing to fix, we say so and leave. If you need something other than what we install — a softener, for instance — we tell you that too.

What we measure on site

Hardness
In milligrams per litre of calcium carbonate. It determines whether scale is attacking your water heater and whether a softener would make sense.
Total dissolved solids
The total amount of dissolved matter in the water. It is the main benchmark for judging what reverse osmosis achieves, before and after.
pH
Water that is too acidic attacks pipework and can dissolve copper and lead from older installations.
Chlorine
The most common cause of an unpleasant taste or odour on a municipal supply.
Supply pressure
Below 40 psi, a reverse osmosis system produces poorly and sends more to the drain. We check it before proposing anything.

What an at-home test cannot tell you

  • No field instrument detects bacteria or E. coli. If you are on a private well, that analysis is done in a laboratory, and the Quebec government recommends it twice a year.
  • PFAS cannot be measured on site either: they require a specific laboratory analysis that is not part of routine testing.
  • Heavy metals — lead, arsenic, manganese — are also laboratory work. Our test will tell you whether something deserves a closer look, not that your water is free of everything.
  • It is free because it is how we make contact, not out of philanthropy. You are under no obligation to buy, and we will tell you plainly if there is nothing to fix.
